Talk Back!

Gravatar Don't be afraid! Let the gorgeous roving inspire you--that's part of the fun. And, looking at the picture of your spindle, I'd say you're doing just fine--go for it! (It looks like a Kundert spindle, too, yes? That's what I have and I love it.)

Gravatar That knitted swatch is lovely! And don't be afraid of jumping in to spin the roving -- it's all about the learning. Try spinning it a couple of different ways and see what you like best.

Gravatar The karaoke is great stuff. They have a little in at Unwind in Burbank. A word to the wise on the sock weight, though. I was playing with a ball of it at Unwind, it was apparently a production sample, and Stephanie (owner) warned me that it breaks easily. Well lo and behold I tried to unravel a few rows and it broke VERY easily. I am sure SWTC are working on it, but your ball may have the same problem if it's from an "earlier" batch.

Can't wait to see your new design...

Gravatar I voted Jabberwocky. But I am a huge Alice in Wonderland fan. I love the pc game American McGee's Alice. It is a dark and twisted version of the original story. As if the original wasn't twisted enough.(Well not in my opinion)
I was just dropping by to let you know I added your link to my blog. I have been reading you for a while, but just hadn't put you on there yet. I have been a very lazy blogger.

Gravatar Beautiful yarn! I'm jealous!!

Liz

P.S. I recently made a hat from your "Nautilus Hat" pattern. I love it! Thanks for the patterns, they're all wonderful!

Gravatar Your Wyvern socks are fabulous! THe Karaoke yarn looks fascinating - I love yarn that colour drifts and am spinning some with a short drift - still working on the long drifting colours. You could use navajo plying on your funky coloured fleece - that would keep the colours separate.

Gravatar Marnie, the yarn on the spindle looks great!
