I *love* lang jawoll. Both the wool and cotton blends are great, and they're some of my favourite socks. I've stopped using the reinforcing thread... I don't seem to need it, so I don't bother.

I've been making a baby sweater with Lang Bebe and it's very soft and has been making some nice stripes. I love sock yarn that comes with its own reinforcement thread that's too cool!

Lots of great stuff! I've given away Jawool as gifts but never used it myself. THAT is about to change. Just what I need, more sock yarn.
oh - and that Caution scarf is so great! Yay, Marnie!

So much yarn, I'm jealous!! The Lang Jawoll yarn is great to work with - it's very soft and also very stretchy. I was as excited as you to find out about the matching nylon, but less excited once I started using it... it doesn't have the same stretch as the yarn itself, so it was almost impossible to keep the patterns lined up. But the yarn has a good deal of acrylic and nylon in it anyway, so I think it should be okay without the extra reinforcement.

Ooooh, where might I pick up some of that Jawoll? That's just good looking out right there. Smart, I tell ya.

And I have a few more skeins waiting to be made into HFMG for Christmas. Thanks for the great pattern!

I sat next to someone at Stitches who was finishing a sock using the patterned reinforcing thread - she loved it, and didn't seem to have any trouble matching the thread to the yarn. She did say she had to be careful to start the yarn and thread from the same point - that the skeins were not all wound the same way. So just check.

That JaWool looks lovely - too bad you didn't get it earlier! I forgot to tell you that I met a friend of Shannon's at the shower this weekend - Maddie (from Cleveland - don't know her last name) - who is knitting samples for the book. So when you meet her, let her know there are only six degrees of separation!
P.S. M is here and it's great!

I don't think an intervention is exactly needed yet, but you might want to keep an eye on them . . . if they start acting suspiciously, watch out!

Wow. I never realized they supplied you with your fiber. Such lovely people. I am so happy they are showing new episodes now. Miss Vickie even left me a comment in reply to one I left on her blog.
Can't wait to get to see your episode.

Actually, Micky, the fabulous fabulous people at South West Trading Company (soysilk.com) supplied the fiber for the items we're knitting on the show! They're awesome, and so's that yarn ("Karaoke"). Try it if you have a chance! It's 50/50 wool and soysilk.
Julia -- Mati is a dear friend, she's helping out with our felting book. Love her! Where were you this weekend? at the EcoFest?

Ive used the JaWoll Lang for socks and I had trouble keeping the reinforcement lined up with the self-striping, so whenever it went off a bit, i just cut and tied the leftover bits. the reinforcement is so thin that you can barely notice it, and i think its brilliant that they added it, this makes absolutely gorgeous socks!
