From all my research, there just isn't any way to do a screen cap from a DVD on a Mac - I had to use the same workaround.

If your dad had the original movie file you can play it in QT, hit pause, and take screen brabs from there. I used to take movie files and open them up in Photoshop, but I haven't done that in a while so who knows if you can still do it.

Love the Panda pics! I grew up with 11 dogs, so all the poochy pics are great!
