Oh my goodness, those are gorgeous! I've been trying to think up a way to make elegant handwarmers, maybe with some leftover KSH. Will you be sharing the pattern? Can't get Barbara Walker in the UK. :'(

Love them! I'm so upset that my roving is in LA! Argh!
Am I right in guessing where we'll find the pattern?

love the color, I've been considering hand/wristwarmers/fingerless gloves for a while now. My office is a little icebox.

I agree about Arrested Development. Kitchen Confidential had potential, but it was never given a chance being put in that Monday slot. Fox is like that, that's what they did to Firefly. There are a lot of people rallying to have it picked up by HBO and as of Monday it looked like it might maybe maybe work. It would suck to have it on a channel that cost so much to have in your house, but as least it would come out on dvds.

Your hand warmers are lovely!! What a simple yet elegant pattern!
The cancellation of AR seems to be the talk of blogland today. I think I hear a collective heart breaking!
At least we will always have the DVD's!

The hand warmers are beautiful! Post the pattern, please, for us who are still creatively challenged???
On the other topic, I watched 7th Heaven for the first couple of seasons and then lost interest. Don't know why. But the two other shows did have some loyal fans, too. I was reading that West Wing, which is a terrific show, lost 1/3 of its' audience when the network decided to move it to Sunday. How stupid is that?? Says to me that the network execs are ready for the show to go away.

Very elegant twist (ha ha no pun intended) on gauntlets! I actually first thought it was Silk Garden, but then remembered that it was your handspun...nice!

They're great! Maybe not what you were going for, but sometimes that's where the best stuff comes from.

Those are beautiful.
I can't believe Fox is getting rid of its best show; I really hope another network picks them up.

a gorgeous vehicle for your lovely yarn! and a nice small-skein project. i think that's the trick -- you want to make a very visible thing with a small amount of a special yarn. hands are a good place for that. other option: something for your head or neck. maybe some sort of lace collar? sort of an updated version of the lace collars of yore? either stand alone over, say, a plain cardigan, or one that buttons on like a parka hood.

and no Barbara Walker in the UK?!
that's outrageous.
Proof of my dorkishness: I just figured out that it'll cost you about 84 lbs ($143) to have ALL 4 shipped to the UK from Amazon US. Not sure about customs costs.
they are available at AmazonUK, but they are 25 lbs a piece -- and at least one costs over 100!
Makes me want to round out my collection.
