I would love to go to Wicked on Broadway. Saw it when it was in Detroit and we watched it in Chicago. Would've loved to see it when we get to New York but there is just so much more stuff we want to do when we get there, plus I just can't pay for those tickets. But, that is definitely on our list of "to-do ...eventually"

Ray, you did identify the most expensive tea in London, at the Ritz, and sadly it's not the best. I admit, I am an aficionado. So, what is the attraction? Well, although all those little sandwiches, pastries and scones look small, in fact it is a full meal. You'll feel completely stuffed when you get to the end of it. And you get entertainment in the form of a harpist, or a pianist, or a string quartet. And you get as much fine leaf tea, and/or champagne cocktails, as you can drink. All of this served in a refined dining room, with fine china and silverware.
For my money, the best afternoon tea in London is Claridge's. Don't bother with The Ritz.
And the best afternoon tea in San Francisco is at the Ritz-Carlton: great view, stunning and delicious champagne cocktails, excellent tea, fine china. I left there feeling quite relaxed (or was that the champagne?) and ready to roll down the hill to Union Square.
As for Wicked tickets, can't you make "friends" with some of the cast. That's your special gift!
