Methinks I see lumbering forms assembling in the trees. You must have been upwind of them to not smell the putrifaction juices running off their bodies.
To the right of the tree, is that a semi-transparent human form? Some sort of wraithlord/zombie king? I can imagine he'd be near invisible in the dusk.
The more I look at this pic, the more I find it to be more than it appears. Usually there is one thing that draws your eye in artwork. This has two, the white things of beauty in the front and the dark trees in the back and it's up to the viewer to decide what he wants to look at. Full stark contrast hidden in a 'simple' pic.

AndI love reading your stories, though I know what you mean. It's like there is a big chord labeled children sucking off every part of you. Did I say that? I mean sucking energy off of every part of you.

But there is a figure to the right of the tree. Ignoring him wont stop him from eating your brains.
And headshots wont stop specters or other maleovent forms of ectoplasm.
From the title, though, I expected to see a pic of big old log.
But I'm a lady.
