Gravatar yes, after thanksgiving weekend, I was craving salad, unflavored yogurt, and other non-sugary, non-rich things... all that other stuff sure tastes good though! blah, why can't THAT be good for you... Okay, end of rant :-D


Gravatar The secret is to eat a little of everything, let it settle, then come back for more later... That way you can eat all the wrong stuff and still be OK! But the salad and stuff still tastes good, surely? I get a real craving for that now that it's all hot and summery here.


Gravatar I miss big staff functions. Where I'm working now our end of year function is a BYO picnic.

When I was working for a radio station we would have great functions at restaurants and function centres.


Gravatar We had a pretty good time. The portions they served were HUGE! I again didn't touch dessert and took leftovers home for supper.

That's the last function for the year, but am thinking of having a bring-and-braai (barbecue) for my neighbours over the holidays.

We're one of the few departments that go out to eat regularly - after we've finished registering students each semester and such. Our waistlines reflect this...
