Gravatar Strange! Perhaps. But...it is the fruits of the Spirit being manifested. With that kind of vision and attitude you will have His peace.

Gravatar This reminds me of a devotional I gave some years ago, from Exodus 4:2. The implication of "What is in your hand?" is that Moses had already been given what he needed to perform his God-given task. Of course God provided what Moses lacked, but looking more broadly at it and applying it to our own attitudes and speech: I try to view my communications (even especially with the difficult people) as an opportunity to "put something in their hand." Doing this, rather than shoving something down their throat like sharing the gospel with words and not life, gives them something to see in you and something they can later look at and say, ya know, there is something different about [Michelle] and I wonder what it is.

There's usually a way to respond that puts a little something in the hands of the people around you to consider the difference Christ makes in practical terms. It's after the practical questions that some will come to the eternal ones.

Gravatar Thanks for your comments - both profound! I'm enjoying putting Christianity into practice. And it's given me an amazing shift in vision too.
