sorry to hear you've had such a rough time... we haven't even visited the church we left... we helped start it and we didn't exactly leave with "blessing", so it's just been too awkward to even contemplate a visit someday... still we miss the people...
Thanks nile - I keep going back now and then to see if anything has changed, but it hasn't. My parents used to pastor this church before they headed Down Under, but it's changed a lot since then - my mom was out here in April (the last time I actually ATTENDED this church!) and after 2 weeks couldn't take any more - we went beach-walking instead the third week. I don't know if like attracts like, or if they're just an extraordinary bunch of closed ranks. I know there are some folk there who are real and good, but have to wonder at many of the others.
