You are not alone!!!!
There are some of us out here who are seeking the same as you.
And we will find it.

I enjoyed reading your post. When I noticed a South African address reading my blog I just had to visit!
My wife and I are churchless and have been for about 3 or so years. We did an emergent thingy without even realising it, but God sometimes just works that way. We were not copying , just were led to it and thought we were the only strange people to try living the gospel against the backdrop of a postmodern society.
As to your journey, we too yearn for some decent friendships. We have a few friends and enjoy intimate sharings etc but it really isn't a journey with them. We find people don't commit to much other than what feels good today.
I will give thought to your other blog "Got the people" some thought, as I feel a lot of similarities with your situation. I think if we were on the same continent we'd be mates!
all the best for now,
Garth

Thanks Garth (my dad's name, by the way! ). I've been hanging out at blogs like yours, hoping to learn from the experiences of others, gain some insights into how things might happen, and see if I have the courage to make them happen here. It's hard though! I'm shy and uncertain, and don't feel spiritually strong enough to take up "leadership" (initiation) of something that could snowball into a huge experience - or fizzle out!
I may just end up on your continent one of these days. We have a migration application in, but the govt is being funny about a couple of points... all up to God now, and perhaps He wants me here for this, for now.
