Darn, I left you a comment yesterday and it didn't show up. I hate when that happens... Is that you, with the red hair, in the previous post? ~ Honestly, I'm stuck on the idea that the place where you work thinks they can dictate the size of the jewelry you can wear!!! HELLOOOO! Run, Michelle, run!!! Personally, I believe that, if you could ever possibly afford it, a ring like the one you described would give you pleasure for the rest of your life, and is well worth the purchase. We need practical stuff, but we thrive on beauty. xo

Kelly - you're REALLY trying to pressure me into the red-hair thing, aren't you! Nope, that's not me. A random image off the net.
I wasn't sure I should mention the restrictions (guidelines?) re certain things, like jewellery - perhaps I should have left it. Hard to understand unless you've grown up with expectations in place as to the way you look/act/live. It's all to do with an interpretation of "not adorning yourself", and up to about 10 years ago even make-up was frowned on - as well as women wearing pants to church. It's a pretty conservative tradition, one that hasn't changed too much in some areas of the world, including here. I work here - so am willing to conform (to an extent) in order to avoid conflict - that "don't cause your brother to sin" thing. I know it looks ridiculous to anyone who hasn't been in it! And it's a bit hard to explain, as to the thinking too. I've learnt to "live and let live", not to judge folk for their stance on the side-issues. We all walk different paths.
But yes, I love beautiful things. And I would love a moonstone to gaze at - on finger or off of it. Preferably on. One of those "I recognize that hand!" rings, unique to me. I've got the long fingers that can pull off a mega-ring. Lucky me!

I think you should add the purchase of that ring on your to-do list. Even if it is a long term to-do thing. You deserve it.

Trouble is - there are so many stunning ones out there! It's hard to choose, and I don't have enough fingers to house them all... but I'll put "choose a moonstone ring and consider buying it" on the future to-do list. One day....
