Oh noooooooo! That's exactly why someone like me shouldn't get Mace. My mom gave me this weird alarm type thingy that you wear around your neck. (Which I of course don't.) Whenever you're in danger, you pull the one side out and an alarm sounds, LOUDLY. One day, it accidentally came apart in my handbag AND I COULDN'T FIND THE OTHER HALF TO PUT IT BACK TO MAKE IT STOP AGAIN!!!!! Luckily I was home alone. This was months ago. My ears are STILL ringing!
Oh hell! Sometimes I wonder if those devices do more (self)harm than good.
