amen.
the thing that's so unsettling is that there seems to be a group of people who would rather the american people didn't actually learn the issues and discuss them rationally--and instead wants them to vote according to false fears and prejudices.
also, i love what he said about the flag pin and how you should really show your patriotism by how you treat others--because i think that stretches over into faith as well. like, you show your faith by how you love and treat others, not by just wearing a cross around your neck.
sorry--i'm turning your comment section into my blog!
(p.s. sorry i haven't read in so long! )

So we finally watched "Jesus Camp" this weekend. I recommend watching it the second time with the filmakers commentary. If anything, thought provoking for all. Periodically, heart wrenching. Sporadically, enraging. Most likely, simply disturbing. Definitely...exhausting.
Have you seen it?
I miss you.

can I tell you how excited I was to read this on your blog....a salvationist, a christian, an intelligent woman making intelligent remarks..about time. I just read a fellow Salvationist's blog and she stated all those myths about Obama as true and was so hateful and it made me giggle, but it made me sad...and then you just brought a smile to my face..I have hope for the future....seriously though, I loved what you said
