I own this cookbook as well. Comes in handy for my 1740's and 1830's re-enactment cooking. Thanks for sharing what you've made from it. Must dig it out and try something new, me own self.

That is really interesting! I was unfamiliar with that term. So it comes from the Italian word maccherone. I wonder which came first, the pasta or the dandy? One must have been named after the other, no?
