I was JUST there!! I was pretty darn impressed with that gristmill. Damn, I would've told you to pick up some Damson Plum Jam from the gift shop had I known you were going (SO GOOD!).
I also would've told you not to miss Gadsby's Tavern! AMAZING. You would like it, it's a very traditional 18th -19th c. menu (from what I'm told).
Haha, you went to the Native American Museum as well - wasn't particularly impressed with it when I went....The food was fantastic though!
Haha, and I practically grew up on astronaut ice cream from the Air & Space Museum.
Can't wait to hear all about the trip to my hometown!
I go back to DC every couple months, I have a few good friends down there. They also sold cornmeal ground at the gristmill, which I wanted to get, but I had already maxed out my budget for this trip.
I didn't realize gadsby's was in DC! Well, next time.
