I feel you on that to a certain extent. U can only be so UP. It does tire you out. Shit, the reality is: I'm at the "urban" Radio station now, playing the records I swore kept "real" hip-hop offa the airwaves. My third-eye never saw that one comin', believe me.
I listened to that album again recently and it does sound hella young in retrospect. However, it does still retain some of its youthful charm. Of course, I'm a litte biased (OK, real biased), but I do think you would have liked "Upward" a lot more, even if the title mighta led you to thinkl it was all some Jesus rap or whatever. I guess kids now just call that stuff "conscious".
I do appreciate you giving the 'Kids a shot though.

actually after posting this on somanyshrimp someone else told me to check Upward, saying it sounded more polished. I think I might have to do that.
don't get me wrong man I still like the album but when I first heard it you guys were my shit. It's just lost some of that impact that it once had on me.
I heard you guys were still making music. Is that true? I'd be interested in checking what kind of stuff your coming up with these days.
