look I don't actually hate chicanos, my problem is that too many times I've come across kids who use it as an excuse to distance themselves from their own race. For them it's some bullshit way of claiming to be proud but at the same time not feel bad for being racist against their own kind. Pretty much the same shit that goes down between light vs dark skinned blacks.
You can usually find this bullshit going down on a college campus. chicano kids posse up and start a club, cool right? well the problem is when a couple of students who were actually born in south america try to join they get the cold shoulder. I've seen this shit happen and it's not write. Hence I have issues with people who spit bullshit about how they are proud chicanos but won't hesitate to call someone a wetback.
