I was seriously considering buying a Scion xB because of the mileage and size and about 8 other reasons until the salesman handed me their marketing campaign shit. Then it was over. I can't stand that "yes we really are down with your underground movement!" corporate bullshit and I'm damn sure not going to support it by buying one of their cars.

Not to mention the fact that their cars look wack as fuck. Who wants to drive around in a rectangle with wheels?

so i've got a scion xa. and i love it. but i didn't buy the car for its image, i bought it cause it was cheap (for a new car) and i'm not ballin. i would probably buy it again cause that car company has treated me better than any other company ever has.
that shit about Bavu Blakes is wack as fuck though. it does suck that they want the watered down image, but it doesn't surprise me at all that a corporation would do that shit.
btw serg- i loved what you wrote about bullet proof - i used to listen to fashen and z-trip when i lived in phx - brought back some good memories!

Aren't there some things in the music business that you avoid because the risks are too great? Toyota's position is totally understandable from a business standpoint.
Don't be stupid.

yeah from a business standpoint and if that's what they want to do cool. But stop trying so fucking hard to be down. If they just want to sell shit to hiphop kids cool, lots of people do that. The problem is that they try to front as if they really want to support this music. Toyota wants to pretend that they support "real hiphop" and are some bullshit progressive company that identifies with your hiphop dance class.
Hiphop isn't softass pop music like people want to pretend it is. Don't front like you're down to commit too it when you know the company will turn bitch as soon as it gets ruff. Toyota should know better than this weak shit.
