interesting. my friends who went to the show were very disappointed in the set. or maybe they were just scurrrred of the mosh pit.

I could understand that though, they are so much of a studio band that to recreate that dense sound live is hard with just three people. Was talking to some dudes outside who are fans of that shit and they were telling me about other similar band who come out with 8 dudes on guitar.

From the people who originated the SF MC Battle, they give you the 'Battle of the Alter Egos'.  Local and well known MC's (Dublin, Conceit, Orukusaki, Dirt Bag Dan, FLO, Subverse, Pharoaoh C., and Da Candyman) will duke it out on stage with a Halloween twist.  In light of the holiday, the MC's will battle in full costume and take on character of thier "alter-egos".  They will be competing for a $500.00 prize and the coveted title of SF MC Battle Champion #7.
 
The crowd will also be able to compete in thier own best costume award with prizes from LRG, Harputs, and Lower Haters. This event is not to be missed.

I can totally relate to what you said about the crowd "looked like they wanted to go to sleep.." I saw OM at the Bottem of the Hill. OM consists of ex-members of the legendary band Sleep. The set was sick!! The crowd looked like a commercial for Lunesta. I mean fools were nodding out. The only people going off was myself and some 50 year old biker dude.
