Gravatar I don't wonder you're angry. I'd be furious. Thank God none of my relatives live in Canada.

Gravatar Your intentions will be prayed for.

Gravatar Will pray.

Gravatar Andrew and Arthur,

I'm sorry that someone so precious was stolen from you. You're in my prayers.

Gravatar Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen
I will remember your intentions during my Rosary tonight.
God Bless

Gravatar My sincere condolences on the loss of your grandfather. No doubt his great joy was his wonderful family.
I am happy to comply with your request for prayers.

Gravatar My brothers in Christ,

Be assured of my prayers. And may God have mercy upon the people who caused the death of your grandfather.

Gravatar I will be happy to pray for your intentions. I am so sorry to hear of this, how many others will have to go through this also.

Gravatar Andrew and Arthur

My maternal grandpa died a week ago too. I will include yours in my prayers when I pray for mine. If you could include my grandpa, Thomas Prentis McNicol I would greatly appreciate it. He was not a Catholic, was an alcoholic and had many problems. Please pray for his soul.

Thankyou

Bec

Gravatar You have my prayers and I am so sorry for what has occurred.

Gravatar My condolences... I will pray for your intentions as well. May he rest in peace!

Gravatar Condolences and prayers from Korea.

May God comfort your family in this difficult moment.

Sincerely,
Joshua

Gravatar I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa, he is in my prayers as well as your family.

Gravatar With the spirits of the righteous give rest, O Saviour, to the soul of Thy departed servant, Paul, and keep him in the blessed life with Thee, O Lover of man. In the place of Thy rest, O Lord, where all Thy Saints repose, give rest also to the soul of Thy servant for Thou alone art the Lover of men.

Gravatar Did you say 'euthanized'? And you mention it so casually? Surely you are exagerating, aren't you? Please clarify. Your blog is great fun, but as a resident of Canada I must know whether you are serious about that.

-NS

Gravatar My condolences. I will pray for the repose of the soul of your grandfather and for those "doctors."

Gravatar NS,

Although I'm sure you didn't purposely mean to offend us, my brother and I are actually offended by your statement. Afterall, why would we exaggerate my grandfather's death? What do we have to gain from it? And especially in the Chinese culture, we NEVER joke around with death. Death is so serious, we participate in a traditional 30 day mourning. That means we don't go to other people's homes, wear dark colors (no bright colors), do little shopping and "fun" activities, etc.

In regards to your question, "yes" my grandfather was euthanized through the dehydration/starvation method. The Canadian doctors euthanized my grandfather on 7/5/05 and he died 7/16/05. He died a HORRIBLE death... his lips were cracked, limbs were purple, intestines were badly deteriorated.

Gravatar In our previous posts, we mentioned our grandfather's situation with the Canadian hospital:

http://angrytwins.blogspot.com/ 2...ns_archive.html

Also, the only reason why I mentioned it "casually" was because it was a prayer request. Arthur and I are planning to write a week long segment on our grandfather this week. However, due to time constraints, we were unable to post more stuff yesterday and today.

Gravatar NS,

I'm sure you meant well with your comments but I thought what you said was pretty insensitive.

Why would my brother "overexaggeate" my grandfather's death? The fact is
at the request of my relatives (NOTE: not us), my grandfather's feeding tube was removed and he slowly died from starvation... Exactly like Terri Schiavo. There's more to my grandfather's story that I would like to share with you all and I will do so in the coming days.

In the mean time we ask that you please be respectful on posting your comments. Both Andrew and I are deeply hurt with the news of my grandfather's passing and I would really appreciate all the prayers... Thank you...

Gravatar btw in case you need quotes... Before Pope John Paul II passed away he stated in his March 20th speech...
"that feeding and hydrating such patients is "morally obligatory," and that withdrawing feeding tubes constitutes "euthanasia by omission.""

Gravatar My prayers are with you and your family on the occasion of your Gong-gong's passing.

May Mary Immaculate lead his soul to paradise and to the bosom of her Son.

Gravatar my prayers are with you and your family. I will pray a rosary for your grandfather.

Gravatar Be assured of my prayers.

Gravatar My condolences, and my assurance that I will pray your intentions.

As the sufferings of the martyrs became their crowns in Heaven, so may your grandfather be granted more than enough of the grace of God and the joys of Heaven to recompense his cruel ordeal.

Gravatar My prayers for his soul, and for those who are left bereft.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Gravatar I did not say anyone exaggerated. I was only asking a question. Isn't that allowed? Note the question mark and request for clarification. Since I don't know you, I have no right to assume anything.

It has been a long time that I've heard about
someone in this part of the world being euthanized, so I needed to know more. Rather than immediately taking offense it would have been a good idea to just explain the facts.

Your grandpa was evidently a holy and great man. His tragic death does bring to mind the Terri Schiavo ordeal. I'm sorry for adding to your suffering. I guess this shows that blogging is not conducive to real communication.

Gravatar Andrew & Arthur,

I am really sorry to hear about your grandfather. A prayer will be said for him and for you.

(I don't think this went through the first time.)

God bless, Maureen Martin

Gravatar praying for the soul of your grandfather.

Gravatar May his soul, by the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Gravatar Consider it done, with a heavy heart.

But with faith that God will provide for your grandfather.

Gravatar Arthur, Andrew,

My prayers are with your grandfather and your family.

-Jason
