Great work Signaleer! You know how to get the message through loud & clear.
Also, a majority of service members come from the Red states, fo those who support the war are fighting it.
BTW, thanks for blogrolling me. I'll add you to mine as well

NYGirl .. take a look at this map and then say that again ...
http://icasualties.org/oif/USMap.aspx
People from every state are fighting and dying in this war ... the troops in the field are the best fighting force in the history of mankind ... my problem is with the civilian leadership .. not the troops ... and the right .. no the duty ... to disagree with my government when it is doing something that I think is wrong is a requirement of a free and open society ... kicking ass and taking names in Afghanistan was a needed and righteous use of military force ... Iraq might have been to .. but if it was why was all the misinformation and mis-direction needed ...
I follow right and left blogs and I follow a lot of milblogs ... but I also follow blogs like this one ..
http://dailywarnews.blogspot.com/
I visit three local VA hospitals on a regular basis and do volunteer work with two local vets groups and I have ever since I returned from my second tour in Vietnam ... and I have watched as hospitals are closed or services are cut back .. I worked my ass off when I found out that the VA outreach program that had done so much to get the word out to Vets about the services that they had a right to at the VA was cut to zero ...
If you do not believe that the poor ... in both so called red states and blue states are targeted at a higher rate then the well to do ... them go visit a shopping mall or a school in almost any very poor area in the country and spend a day watching ... then do the same thing at any upscale mall ...
As to shared sacrifice ... what I wan to see is less greed at the top for more money and a move towards all of us that have done well in this country to do more in paying the cost of both the war and the infrastructure that is needed for a safe and secure free country ...

Where Do We Go From Here?
By The Cunning Realist
I've written a lot about Iraq in this space, but I want to fill in a few gaps that pre-date this blog's inception. First, I supported the invasion and removal of Saddam. I felt a twinge of disgust when I saw the first bombs fall on Baghdad and the computer screens in front of me at work showed that the reflexive reaction of many Americans to the carnage was to buy stocks. But that's another issue, and based on my professional experience it was both understandable and predictable. I had little doubt military action was necessary in light of 9/11 and the intelligence that was presented in the months leading up to the war. But there's the rub. Of course, we now know a fair amount about how the prewar intelligence---as well as the public debate via the Plame outing---was subverted, hand-picked, shaded, crafted, manipulated, or flat-out fabricated to support an objective that had been conceived well in advance. At this point, this simply cannot be denied by any reasonable, clear-thinking person.
