Does anyone listen to Wait, Wait? on NPR. Their guests did funny riffs on the new acronym kids would have to learn to remember the planets if Pluto were no longer inluded. MVEMJSUN. Anyone want to have a go at it??

I've got more work to do tonight, but I just noticed that Oscar linked to an article about Carlton Pearson in his post. I haven't had time to read Oscar's post today, but the name caught my attention, because our rector preached about him in church today.
I'd never heard of this minister before today, and I highly recommend reading the article Oscar linked to.

If only the "real" news media was as good as The Daily Show. They should be the ones who play the tapes of people saying things that they claim they never said. I love Jon Stewart, but his coverage just makes me even more pissed at the media that has become nothing more than a propaganda machine.

I like watching awards shows - it's a nice diversion from the news. Tonight they honored Dick Clark, who was a big part of my music appreciation with American Bandstand. I'm not so much for the glitz and glam, but I do like to see good work honored.

Update - I heard from my contact in NYC and he said to wait to see how Subway's surgery goes. If he gets referred to an oncologist, then we can take the next step, if need be.
