Does anyone know where Edwin is? I vaguely remember puddle saying he was doing a play in Minnesota awhile back. So I was wondering if that's where she's heading to?

Yup, that's definitely Edwin on the left of your picture Renee. I was lucky enough to meet him this past spring. Great guy, vibrant presence, great story-teller, Deaniac, all around good guy.

No flowers? Shoot! OK, I've never tried to send somebody balloons before... How, where...? FTD only does flowers, right?
Feeling somewhat helpless, here.
FYI, mylar baloons are only $3.25 (with card and delivery) and you can pay by credit card over the phone.
Just call (817) 250-2000, ask for the gift shop and tell them you want it delivered to Edwin Owens in room 2216.
But if Edwin is in ICU will they let any of that stuff through? I mean, either balloons or flowers? I'd rather find a way to get some cash to puddle to finance her trip down there and someplace for her to stay.

Thanks, Jess,. You paved the way for me. The lady said she already had the room number, because someone had just called for Edwin. Bet they're going to start wondering who this Edwin Owens character is, with people calling from all over the country to send him balloons.
I just barely kept it together on the phone. I don't like talking to strangers on the phone anyway. And, now I can't stop crying. I hope he'll be awake when Puddle gets there, able to recognize her. And, I hope that they don't hastle her because she's not legally, officially his wife.
I just called the gift shop as well, and the lady would like me to let you all know that the room is small, and there is alot of machinery, so they might stop taking the balloons into his room if they get to be too many.
I agree that figuring out a way to get $$$ eventually to Puddle will go a long way to help her during this most difficult time.
He just has to pull through!!!
If they won't allow all the balloons in the room, they should at least keep them at the nurses station. I think it's important that puddle know's we're with her when she arrives, in whatever way we can be.
That being said, I'm sure puddle must have a paypal account. Anyone know it?
Yes, Denise. I'm sure money is the last thing on puddle's mind right now. But I'm also sure that an unplanned emergency trip like this would put a major dent in *anybody's* budget. I can't do anything to help in regard to Edwin's health, but I could lighten at least the money worry for puddle. It's the only way I can think of to be of help to her.

That's *funny*... The "four shining diamonds" design was *MY* idea. I made a model of that in 2002 and submitted it to a website that was brainstorming concepts. The upper floors (in the slanty part) would be terraces of indoor gardens and shops in my concept. I'd never be able to prove that I had the idea before someone else. I sent it in just for fun and soon forgot about it. But, it's cool to see a similar concept is a contender!

Demetrius, if you're ever in a similar situation here's what I do with book submissions.
Mail a copy to *yourself* at the same time you mail the copy to the destination. Then, when your copy comes, don't open it. That way you have proof it's yours, and the date of origination.

Yup. I do that. I have a copy somewhere around here of a screenplay I wrote with a guy I used to work with for a sci-fi space epic. It really *is* a great story with great characters... and *depth! (if I must say so myself) I watch the sci-fi channel all the time and I see ideas we came up with for *our* movie in other features. If I had any reason to believe they stole our ideas I'd whip out that envelope. But, some concepts are just bound to emerge. I don't think I could sue someone for having the same good ideas independently - when *I* haven't done anything with them for 10 years.
