UPDATE from THANKFUL
Edwin tried to open his eyes again for the nurse, this time, according to report Puddle got from calling in after their rest.
They are heading back to the hospital for their afternoon visiting
hours and will update us from there after getting to see Edwin.
I'm hoping he will open his eyes this afternoon.

Glad you appreciated the post, tc. I crossposted it a couple places, and then focussed on making some more Cafe Press stuff. At least that I have some control over, where the job hunt thing is frustratingly out of my hands at the moment.
Anyway, once I decided it was time to take a break, I checked over at DFA and found the update. Also, Barbara in Seattle has pictures of puddle and Edwin on her DFA link page. I snagged one of the pictures so that people who don't have a DFA login would be able to see it

I don't remember seeing anything about a button for donating. Of course, it's entirely possible that I missed something. But I think you just need to go to http://www.paypal.com and log in, and select "send money", then input the e-mail address that Agatha posted.

Great news about Edwin! Just trying, just being able to try, even if he doesn't get those peepers open for a while, is still fabulous!
We're falling behind on the candles, though. When I lit a couple of candles some time ago - because Regina called as I was reading this thread and Regina's nothing if not a good chatter, Lord love her (!) - we were down to fifty-one, even counting the two I lit. So, folks, please get over there and light them candles.

Renee, the Compline post is quite lovely. Thanks. I sometimes listened to Anglican services on the BBC, and found that Compline resonated with me particularly for some reason. I guess being an insomniac...

Edwin Update
No dramatic news from this visit - but they restarted the nutrition so he's getting a great liquid steak dinner. Fingers were a little colder than last night but of no concern. Some time this afternoon he'll be switched to a different bed that helps prevent bed sores! Call me crazy but that says they're expecting him to stick around long enough to possibly get bed sores )))))))))))))))))))))))))

Am at a loss to thank you guys. And usually don't have enough energy left to even try (bless Thankful!!) Thanks, Renee. PayPal refuses to process my payment, even though I've used them before. Am I supposed to send "quasi-cash" or "service"? I clicked "quasi-cash." I also clicked the "no shipping address required" button.
I hate PayPal. If I can't get it to work, I will just have to send a check,
even though that takes longer and is a drag for both payee and payer.
