I agree with everything you are saying, 2 games against inferior opposition and we draw one and lose the next.
I get the feeling that a lot of these teams know how to play us...we always play down the middle, so they pack the middle of the park with players. I think the forwards are lacking confidence as they won't shoot when they have the oppurtunity.
They need to resolve the Cole and Reyes saga's and quickly, mainly because it's dragging on and is extremely boring now. Especially as Reyes sounds as if he is now refusing to play for Arsenal (stick him in the reserves)....some of these players really are spoilt sh!ts...i want ...i want all the time.
I agree with what you said except that the shooting problem isn't a Wenger byproduct! Pires, Viera, Bergkamp, Overmars, and dare I say, Wiltord, were all sharp shooters round the box. WHERE ARE THE REPLACEMENTS? Rosicky AND Hleb are NO wingers nor shooters.
hate to say it but we would have won if cole had been in the team. flamini even and we probably would have won. it was only going 1-0 down that made us lose. when Man city had to come out and try and score we were always dangerous, and should we have got 1, we'd have got 3 or 4. but Hoyte gave a stupid goal away literally, so man city put 11 men behind the ball and we lost.
If chelsea or man utd kept going 1-0 down EVERY game they would also draw and lose as many as we have last and this season. they dont make silly individual errors at the back to give away goals like we do.
Eboue and Hoyte are both very inexperienced. With Lauren and an experienced left back, even Flamini, we have a chance to do something big still this season.
up front we played well. the players are not sharp though in front of goal. that will come. if you are going to drop 5 points, do it at the start, so there is time to recover.

It's a poor start to the season but it's just two games and most importantly we are in the CL proper.
Surely now (post Croatia game) we can all agree that Ashley Cole must be dropped from the England team. A few wet tackles and a few passes to players under more pressure than he isn't good enough. If Beckham was dropped, we can't allow Ashley Cole to get away with this nonsense.
