Yes it is good news, the problem is you never know the whole deal, are there review or break clauses, what is the buy out price that most contracts now have.
Providing that Arsene stays and Arsenal remain at the top I am sure Cesc will stay, but it would be naive to believe that there is no way out should he wish to go, look at Hargreaves he will be a Manc come January.

dandan-- I agree with you. But I can imagine the Boss has calculated everything so the deal will benefit both the club and Cesc. And if barcelona come and knock on our door, I can imagine that Barcelona have to part with 50 million pounds.

I'd have to agree only on condition that Wenger stays. If he goes, I dread to say that Arsenal will lose quite a bit of players who will walk out the door with him. I hope it doesn't come to that cos Wenger has a set of very fine youngster with him to groom for the future and I don't see anyone except Wenger being able to do that. Long Live Arsenal!
