For the sake of the world, I hope that Hillary Clinton sends the right messages on this trip. If she indicates in any way that America is weak, that message will affect not only us in the United States but also those in Japan, which has been our strong ally in the East.

Japanese media are overjoyed with Clinton's choice, that is, Japan as the first country for her visit. They need to be more realist.

Stgangely enough, security is not so tight. During the last G8 summit in Toyako of Hokkaido, I saw police guarding here and there in Tokyo.
