I can't wait to get my left hand back. This cast is an enormous pain in the ass. I'd kill for a beer, too. Sadly, all I have is a cheap handful of Tylenol 3; the dry-hump of narcotics.
Any idea when you will be back up to speed?
The cast comes off Monday to be replaced by a splint. That way I'll get two fingers and a handy opposable thumb back. I'm still seeing "floaters" in my right eye so there's possibility of some retinal detachment and/or subsequent vision loss. This has me scared shitless.

Surgery, I suppose. I don't know about it to have an original opinion.
They didn't catch either of the shit-bags. They do have a bank video tape of me getting a savage beating, though, which I declined to watch. I told them that I'd already seen it once in person and really wasn't interested in an encore! They do what they can in situations like this but unfortunately they really don't have much to go on.
On the bright side, I'm on LOA so the kitties are getting the type of attention they desire (constant) and I can weather seal the house, winterize my fishing equipment, guns, etc.
I wouldn't want to watch the tape, either. It seems like I'm always seeing some holdup being solved on the news, so I'll hold out hope! And I know surgery is a scary prospect. I just hope you don't lose any sight from this ordeal.
I love cats and miss my lapkitty. It sounds like you have the TLC for a speedy recovery!
