I am surprised that his popularity has slipped so soon. I may have overestimated the power of the national media to prop up this charlatan. While this may be an aberration, I hope that it signals a real awakening of the public.
I suspect that the weakening is real. The economy's poor performance, slipping employment and Obama's contradictory behavior abroad (reticence in condemning Iran but haste to condemn Honduras, for example) probably has people wondering if they are getting the government they voted for. The non-stimulating stimulus package has to be frustrating a lot of voters right now.
As soon as the loony leftists are on the ropes and KNOW that they are in trouble, they go crazy and prove just how evil and crazy they really are by slinging hate-filled, destructive vitriol. It's like hot coals have been dumped on their Stalinist agendas.
