Though not a 3D environment, Vuvox has a similar product. It allows you to create a collage of images and move around it, right now just horizontally I think, like walking down a path, and map different things to the image(s). So you could put a text box here that opens up on a click, or an audio file there, or open up a url at this point, etc.

Seemed cool, not sure if its live on their site yet.
