The green socks and bag are fabulous! Love 'em, love 'em. The prickly girl straps do look a wee bit long. I popped over to the pattern to see what's going on. You're making the largest size, right? I think maybe it means for you to work until the strap is 15" from the cast on edge, not from where the strap begins. That's my theory, anyway.

Jean is right - "until work measures 15 inches" means the entire piece from the cast on edge at the waist.
