Damn, Capt. B, that was pretty riveting. Got a little rush for you just reading that.
Hang tight, and don't get too addicted to the adrenaline because the best you'll get back here is watching a moonbat rant and howl, and to be honest, even kicking the ever lovin' shit out of one of them doesn't raise the heart rate more'n a couple of bpm. You and your men are making a difference, despite the BS that the media try to shovel out. Its the news such as yours that I listen to, i.e. The truth! I can see the enormous, world-changing success in Iraq and Afghanistan, due to the sacrifices you and your men make, each and every day.
The reenlistment rate of the combat Marines and Soldiers is sky-high! That tells me that most of you guys believe in your mission, and so do I!
I'll keep spreading the truth, and urging the MSM to do their jobs and report it.
You aren't "creating more terrorists" like the MSM keeps spouting...you're taking them out, and building democracies to boot! The Iraqis and Afghanistanis are safer and better off because of you guys, and they are free! PLUS, you are keeping us safe back home! Thank-you and God bless you all!

I think it would be simply wrong to say that Capt. B's efforts by themselves "create more terrorists." As an opponent of the war, I think that the totality of American policies and actions in this war have created more terrorists.
We are less secure than we were four years ago. Two of our allies have been attacked by al-Qaeda, and we ourselves are in no way out of the woods given that it took eight years for al-Qaeda to finish the job they started at the World Trade Center.
The best place for American troops is back home, but accomplishing that isn't going to be simple or easy in light of the tremendous damage done by our horrible president.

Jim B, the founder of the Cut & Run Society was Ronald Reagan, who stuck a USMC base at the bottom of a mountain in Beiruit and then ran away when 240 marines were killed by a truck bomb. If the mission was worthwhile, why did Reagan run away? If the mission wasn't worthwhile, why did Reagan go there in the first place?
I think the U.S. needs to get out of Iraq, but a Vietnam-style withdrawal won't work. Now that the Idiot-in-Chief has gotten us bogged down there, it's unfortunately inevitable that many more Americans will be lost.
This must warm the hearts of right-wingers like you, but I think it's sad given that the rationale for the war was a pack of Republican lies to begin with. All we've got to show for it is a lot of dead people, and tens of thousands of Americans in harm's way, and a country more hated around the world than at any time in my memory.
Congrats. Hope you're happy about that one, Jim B. By the way, where are YOU deployed?

Wilson Kolb, you are free to say and believe whatever you want, because of those men and women of valor who died for that freedom, and those men and women of valor who continue fighting for it!
Now hear this, punk, if you support these honorable men and women, you won't be spewing that venomous lie that all we have to show for this war is dead hero's!
These Hero's believe in their mission, and they know better than those candyass protesters and so-called "reporters". If you don't believe these hero's, then quit pretending that you support them. By spreading your lies the only people you are supporting are those murderous scumbag terrorists. You know, the one's that blow up children and shoot school teachers.
Evil triumphs whn good men do nothing, and when moron's like you spread enemy propaganda! Stop listening to michael mooron, and start listening to our fighting men and women. These hero's are the good guy's, and what they are fighting is more valuable, more precious than anything you have ever dreamed of doing...its called freedom. And in the process they are protecting us, here at home, and the Iraqi people, who were being tortured and slaughtered by saddam and his evil cronies.
Stop being a tool, and do some research. Don't rely on moveon.org for the truth.
As for those countries who hate us, so what? They hated us before the war. I'm proud to be an American, and I'm proud of our Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard! I can hold my head up high and say that. Can you?

First of all, bravo to Ben! You are right on! And thanks for your service as Veteran's Day approaches.
Anyone who sincerely believes that our country, as the world's last remaining superpower, was not truly held in contempt around the world before OIF is just kidding themselves! The difference now is that those citizens in other countries now have a soap box (via the unpopular war) to justify their anti-American sentiment. It's like the person who is jealous of someone who has more money then themselves or a better life...While doing nothing to help themselves achieve the same. People around the world have long been taught that we are evil as Americans, because they believe our culture is one of excess, greediness, and selfishness. While I cannot deny that a good percentage of American society is like that, the overwhelming majority is NOT! To suggest that we were ever really embraced by the international community before we engaged in Iraq is just silly. The ONLY reason we have any friends in this world is because of our money, the very same money that they hate us for. But they'll take it to help their bottom line, won't they?
As for supporting our troops, I must say this: If you say you support our troops, put your money where your mouth is. They may not be fighting a war some believe in, but their sacrifices are the same no matter what theater of operation they serve in. So put up or shut up. Protesting won't bring them home. If you really want to "support" our troops, show them how much you appreciate them. Send them a package, write them a note, help their families. Donate your time and money to any of the hundreds of military charities working to assist our wounded heores and the families of our fallen heroes.
Finally, get this: This country and the U.N. had justifiable, legal cause to take Saddam out back in the 90's. However, we had a spineless president who was more worried about his international popularity and of course, how many women he could bag under Hillary's nose, all the while drastically cutting back on the defense budget and tying the hands of out intelligence community. It's really that simple.
God bless you, Capt. B! You guys are always in my heart and prayers. Happy Veteran's Day and Happy Birthday, Marines! 230 years of warriors unlike any others...OOHRAH!

You don't like what someone says so you call them a punk. That Republican tactic has worn thin with the public. The majority has lost confidence in the war, and wants to see the Liar-in-Chief impeached for having lied his way into it. His approval rating is even lower than Richard Nixon's was at the same point of Nixon's second term. The jig's up.
As for anti-American sentiment, it has deepend quite a bit since 2003. It didn't help matters that your lying president's administration, besides spoofing its way into Iraq, instituted a policy of torturing enemy combatants and civilians. This policy was at sharp variance with American practice and values for the past century.
If you want to win the hearts and minds of Iraqis, it probably doesn't make a lot of sense to sexually assault their men. By ordering these tactics and then not punishing those who ordered them, the U.S. government has linked the words "American" and "pervert" in the minds of hundreds of millions of people.
I didn't do that, and the terrorists didn't do that. George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld and the senior military commanders who transmitted their orders to the field did that. They betrayed our country. If you actually cared about the military, Ben, you'd be the most outraged of all, because it's future American POWs who are going to pay the biggest price.
So drop your stiff-armed salute of your fuhrer, George W. Bush, and take a good, honest look at the damage done. It's going to take a long, long time for the U.S. to recover from this one.

Wilson says, “Jim B, the founder of the Cut & Run Society was Ronald Reagan, who stuck a USMC base at the bottom of a mountain in Beiruit and then ran away when 240 marines were killed by a truck bomb. If the mission was worthwhile, why did Reagan run away? If the mission wasn't worthwhile, why did Reagan go there in the first place?”
The Marines were sent to Beirut by Ron Reagan whose hope it was to make a difference. He was after all a died in the wool optimist. However it was the Democrat Congress who limited their stay to 18 months, and limited their numbers. Thereby doing what you propose with your bring the troops home agenda. It was the Democratic Congress who won the “Cut and Run Award” that time. The one you are running for now. By the way don’t mention Clinton and Somalia. Maybe no one will notice.
Wilson says, “This must warm the hearts of right-wingers like you, but I think it's sad given that the rationale for the war was a pack of Republican lies to begin with.”
The Intelligence may have been bad. The Iraqis obviously not only had but also employed Weapons of Mass Destruction against the Iranians and their own people. There were Democrats on the Intelligence Oversight Group; it was their best guess at that time. It’s rather easy to be a Monday morning quarterback. By the way we don’t know for a fact that those weapons weren’t moved to Syria, like they moved other equipment to Iran and Syria in the past.
Wilson says, “Congrats. Hope you're happy about that one, Jim B. By the way, where are YOU deployed?
Wilson Kolb | 11.05.05 - 9:44 pm”
Where am I deployed? I am deployed right here. Age is a funny thing Wilson. I retired in 1989 from the Corps. I loved every minute of it and would do it again in a New York minute. So now I am deployed as a teacher of our youth, so I provide balance to all the crap in the New York Times. I am looking forward to hosting my usual crop of recruiters again this year.
What contribution have you made to operation ValorIT By the way? You know you support the troops. You just hate the rest of the conservative world.

Mr Wilson
Thank you for your concern about “your own,” we are good to go and you are welcome that you have the right to express your thoughts here. I’ve delt with a few of you supporters who support the troops but not the war. Its easy for you to criticize the very protection you live under and bitch and moan about what you don’t understand. Well if you support the troops, then you believe in them and what they are doing and thus you support the war. Its not rocket science. But we are glad you support the war!
You say, “I think that the totality of American policies and actions in this war have created more terrorists” My friend terrorists are going to continue train and they are going to continue to hate and attack the U.S. We have eliminated numerous terrorists’ cells here that would have killed Americans down the road and are training the Iraqi army to do the exact same thing once we depart. You were a journalist? You should have known these things, unless you weren’t very good and got fired or more likely betrayed the country oops I mean company you worked for. Typical, coward and hiding. I don’t see anyone else here hiding??
Now if you want to talk about Beruit I have a Marine next to me here who was there when the Embassy was bombed. Lets talk about why the Marine Guards weren’t allowed to have ammo in their weapons because of democrats in seats restricted their tactics. Great idea. Hello, Its a lot easier to kill bad guys with loaded weapons. Lets talk about the many other left wing restrictions that prevented the Marines to do their jobs, you don’t want to go there.
It is very obvious that you are a finger pointer and not a doer and frankly have not done your homework. Its easy for you to sit and complain about what you don’t like. Well quit complaining and come over and fix it. You have asked where did others deploy to, where have you served? Where have you deployed? You said WE don’t have a choice where we deploy? That’s BS it’s a volunteer military in case you haven’t heard but that just shows your education level. By the way MR finger pointer, you do have a choice of where you deploy to it comes with your training and specialty. Just like you have a choice but choose to do nothing but complain. All of the service members here “fighting “ and not bitching are here on their free will because they “Get it” and are doing something about it instead of complaining. But its ok, you sit there and enjoy your cheap computer, your Twinkies that you eat by the box and sorry excuse of a job, or wait a minute you probably don’t have a job because your always on this comment box.
Please keep posting because the more you type the more people see what a fraud you really are, you cant hide. Make ALL the excuses you like, make your acquisitions and tarnish the country that protects you because the Haji SOB reading this along with you, love it! Your helping the enemy Mr Wilson, no you are the enemy!
Great job Mr Wilson, say HI to Hillary for me…………..Capt out!

My responses:
1. Why does it matter that I use a pseudonym? I could give you my name and address, and what would change? I notice that "Capt B" isn't a full name, but no one has attacked him for using a psuedonym. I don't care that he does so. It's irrelevant.
2. No Democratic congress forced Reagan to send the troops there, nor did any Democratic congress force Reagan to cut and run. He did both of things all on his own.
3. You'd have wanted Clinton to stay in Somalia? Not me. I don't see why we were ever there to begin with.
4. The Bush administration knew that the intelligence was cooked right from the start. They lied to congress and to the public, and now the public is opening its eyes to the facts.
5. So Jim B is just another armchair warrior who once had a job in the peacetime military. I'll give him this much: At least he admits it.
5. I haven't contributed to Valor IT. I make contributions in other forms. To date, my contributions toward car packages to the troops total about $15,000
6. I don't "criticize the very protection I live under." That's another lie from the wingnuts, who love to prattle on and on about "freedom" but when it really comes down to it don't have a shred of appreciation for it. Patriotism doesn't demand blind obediance to a lying, incompetent president. Other way around, in fact.
7. CaptB, I continue to respect and appreciate your service no matter what you will say about me and my opinions. The way I see it, you don't get a choice in your deployments. Therefore, my quarrel isn't with the people in the field but with those who have put them there. Given that you are there, you can only do your best.
That said, I'm not the enemy. Your enemy is those who are shooting at you and planting, IEDs, etc. As for the rest, I think our forces have been tragically misused. It's always easier to be a purist in these matters, i.e., to either be 100% against the war and everyone involved in it or be 100% in favor of it and hate the Americans who oppose it. Neither is the case with me, no matter how much you might want to imagine otherwise.
As I said earlier, good luck and godspeed, and I hope you succeed. I just don't know what success is these days. I mean, if this is a humanitarian mission something tells me there would be other ways to deliver the goods.

Now, the following is a good start:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/congr...inees&
printer=1
Finally, after two and a half years, the congress decides that maybe it's not very smart to have a policy of torturing enemy combatants and civilians. (BTW, I do not think our troops are a bunch of perverts and torturers. This is one of the many outrages; by ordering torture, the Bush adminstration placed every American, and especially military personnel, at heightened risk of torture in the future.)
The next step should be to have a real inquiry and real consequences, up the line. The torture policy constitutes a war crime under the principles established at the Nuremburg Trials of 1946. Senior level people should go on trial for what they ordered, including impeaching Bush and Cheney for war crimes.

In response to Wilson:
As to this business about President Bush lying—if that were the case then it would also hold true that most Democrats lied. Below are just a few citations made by Wilson’s precious Democrats. There are many more quotes, but space does not permit for all of them to be copied here.
"The community of nations may see more and more of the very kind of threat Iraq poses now: a rogue state with weapons of mass destruction, ready to use them or provide them to terrorists. If we fail to respond today, Saddam and all those who would follow in his footsteps will be emboldened tomorrow." -- Bill Clinton in 1998
"Saddam's goal ... is to achieve the lifting of U.N. sanctions while retaining and enhancing Iraq's weapons of mass destruction programs. We cannot, we must not and we will not let him succeed." -- Madeline Albright, 1998
"(Saddam) will rebuild his arsenal of weapons of mass destruction and some day, some way, I am certain he will use that arsenal again, as he has 10 times since 1983" -- National Security Adviser Sandy Berger, Feb 18, 1998
Oh and by the way you, Wilson, can link to BBC (Wilson ought to love that—an established liberal media) to learn how the U.S. removed 1.77 tons of enriched uranium, and about 1,000 "highly radioactive sources from Iraq—since going to war. Here’s a link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world...ast/
3872201.stm
If you didn’t see much about this in the American press that’s because it would not fulfill their agenda. God forbid that they would report facts that might rally support for the war.
As to the liberal propaganda that the war has created more terrorists and put us in more danger, this is just smoke and mirrors to keep the focus off Democrats for the way they embolden terrorists by taking the “no hands” and turn-the-other-cheek approach. Okay, so let me get this straight. According to the Democrats and liberals, despite the fact that terrorists tried to kill us at the WTC in 1993, the Kenya Embassy in 1998, the Tanzania Embassy in 1998, on the USS Cole in 2000, and again at the WTC and the Pentagon in 2001—we are in “more” danger because they want to kill us? Come again? Someone attempts to kill you five times and some how you are in “more” danger of getting attacked? That is like trying to argue someone is “more” pregnant.
And let’s not forget that there was never a shortage of terrorists to carry out all these acts prior to the war—so much for the Liberals’ LIES about the war creating more terrorists. And Wilson argues that Democrats have the better idea?
To Capt. B:
You and your men stay safe out there. We Americans will try to cover your backs with our prayers. God bless!

Maria, you really ought to think about reading a link before you post it. The BBC story was about how the U.S. took radioactive industrial and medical materials out of Iraq. The presence of those materials there is no evidence whatsoever of WMD. Radioactive materials are very common; I've read stories about how it could be possible to make a dirty bomb out of the radioactive components of things like smoke alarms and common medical appliances.
The Iraq War has put us in more danger because, prior to Saddam's overthrow, Iraq was not a base of terrorist operations. The only evidence to the contrary was the rewards that Saddam paid (or said he said) to Palestinian suicide bombers. That terrorism has been a threat to Israel not the United States, and didn't rise to the level of a threat justifying a quarter-trillion dollars, 2,000+ American combat deaths, 15,000+ combat wounded and tens of thousands of Iraqi dead and wounded.
The reason there was no terror threat under Saddam is that his regime was Baathist, and they are radical secularists. The al-Qaeda organization is radicaly religious. It makes as much sense for them to combine as, say, the Christian terrorists who helped McVey blow up the Murrah Bldg. in Oklahoma City would have combined with the left-wing Weather Underground.
I don't for one minute deny that terrorism exists and that it's a serious danger. Quite the contrary; to me, terrorism is the new piracy on steroids and the only way to go after it is for all civilized countries to join to defeat it. By calling an imperal war of conquest -- the Iraq War -- an anti-terrorist war has set back the cause of international cooperation against terrorism while opening up Iraq as a terror base.
Nor do I deny that Saddam was a very nasty dictator. The Reagan administration made a serious mistake when it coddled him in the 1980s, up to and including sending none other than Rumsfeld to congratulate him shortly after he used chemicals against the Kurds and the Iranians. I just don't think we needed to invade the place; at least if Bush was going to do it he shouldn't have told everyone lies about WMD and terrorism to trick people into supporting the invasion.
But now we're there. If we just leave, it's going to be a real disaster. Looks like we're stuck there for a while, with Americans as targets. I know how happy this makes the right-wing feel. With each new death they can, what, make the case that they're more patriotic than everyone else. CaptB seems to agree, and who knows, maybe most of his people do, too. But not most Americans. Two-thirds of us think the war wasn't worth fighting to begin with.
What to do now? It's a damn good question because like I say I don't think we just pull out of there. One thing I think we should do, though, is get to the bottom of exactly how it is we found ourselves there, and why.

Thanks, Wilson. I can read just fine. The link I posted was about uranium found in Iraq. I never said anything about WMDs. The articles states:
“. . . the operation had also prevented the material falling into the hands of countries that may seek to develop their own nuclear weapons.”
And also, “ . . . much of the material was in powdered form, which is easily dispersed.”
I don’t know about you, but I for one feel safer and I have the military to thank for that.
As to the rest of your comments—this isn’t the forum to address them. Join a chat site—and I’m sure many of Capt. B’s supporters will be happy to “discuss” things with you. In the meantime let’s leave this space available for those of us that want to show Capt. B and the marines our appreciation. It’s hardly courageous of you to spew your anti-war venom on this brave marine’s site. And while he puts his life at risk every single day to give you the freedom to do so, believe me when I tell you—it hardly reflects well of you.
Capt. B, my apologies for getting a little sidetracked. I really owe you a world of thanks and appreciate all that you are doing. I hope and pray that the situation there will not continue to remain so risky and dangerous. Stay safe and try not to let the “Wilsons” of the world bother you. Capt, just the other day I was thinking how much I love your blog. I really look forward to reading about your day, as well as your thoughts and stories (but I must say, I felt a tad bit STRESSED after this last post!) I am SSSOOOOOO glad we are on the same page! (I'd HATE to know what it is like to be on your bad side!!! ) I was also thinking how wonderfull it was that all of your commenters were nothing but totally supportive of you and your guys and that they probably keep you charged up and ready to go, as well as making you feel really appreciated. This is an nice place to visit (despite the reason for this blog) primarily because of you, but also because of the support and the lack of argumentative nay sayers.
I have been to other sites and I get so damned depressed with all of the arguing among the commenters. I, too, really do wish these people would create their own sites and leave all of you alone. Unfortunately, one of them has found his way to you. Hopefully his interruption will be temporary.
As much as I really hate to do this, I have three comments for Wilson.
1. The Captain's personal information is none of your damn business!!!! I can't believe you had the %*@!* to demand it!!
2. It is the rightwingnuts who GAVE you your freedom of speech!!!!!!!
Perhaps you should thank them instead of bitching at them!!!!
3. You have crashed the wrong party. Move on!
Wilson, don't bother to reply....I have no intention of reading what you have to say....you will just be wasting your time...you won't change my mind, or I suspect anyone elses'.
Well, Captain, it is about 1:15 am here, which means the sun is up for all of you. Have a safe and successfull day. Take care and God bless.

GREETINGS! I have been reading all the wonderful post from everyone and I'm left with only one conclusion.... Wilson is Hillary!
Capt. B, Someone very wise once said: “The Truth needs no ally“. That is a self evident truth.… The United States Of America is the lone superpower, not because were greedy or perverted or glutens, but because were FREE… and that is the purest form of TRUTH. That is why we are in Iraq… Not for oil, not to tell them how to live, but to set them FREE… to allow Iraqis to tolerate there own Wilson’s and to understand that “FREE people need no Allies”.
It is doubtful the anyone writing in this BLOG will live long enough to see the fruits of the seeds that America is planting….
However, that little girl that enjoyed a Pepsi with you, will… and that is priceless….
Make no mistake about it, “We the People” will never allow people of Wilson’s viewpoint to ignore what has to be done, anyone can take the easy road and feel righteous. However, You and Your Marines are the saber of TRUTH, therefore, you don’t feel righteous you know your Righteous!
Time for a C-GAR!

Since Lissa won't be reading this, I'll take this opportunity to point out to the rest of the wingnuts around here that it's typical of your species to deal only with people who agree with them and to viciously attack anyone who differs. In rhetorical terms, she's a lot like the people who plant IEDs in Iraq.
I don't care about CaptB's personal information. I only mentioned the issue after some of the whack-jobs here went after me for posting anonymously. Then when Cap joined in himself, I said well hell if I'm a "coward" for posting anonymously then who are you?
Military Mom, the "American Wilson lives in" has lost confidence in the war and the liar who got us into it. Two-thirds of the public thinks it was a bad idea to go there; majorities think that we were misled into it, and want to see the Liar in Chief impeached for it.

Gee, Andy, so right wing crazies just can't imagine that someone might disagree. Get something through your head: A majority now opposes the war. That's not just one poll talking, but a bunch of them. People don't want an immediate withdrawal, myself among them, because of the stakes involved. This makes it a very tough situation. Essentially, because of what Bush has done we will have American forces sitting there as targets for the next several years.

Andy, there are a lot of tyrranies out there. What would you have said if Clinton had decided to liberate the Rwandans from their tyrrany in the late 1990s? What did your Liar-in-Chief say when Clinton liberated the Kosovars from their tyranny in the late 1990s?
BTW, when it came to Kosovo, I think the real issue was keeping the Muslims out of the Balkans. In other words, NATO had to do it lest the Muslims come streaming northward. I fault Clinton for not making the case in those terms.
One problem that has existed under both Republicans and Democrats ever since the imperalism under McKinley is that they feel a need to cast all U.S. military involvements in human rights terms. This leads to a lot of lying, and it's gotten worse and worse over the years. George W. isn't the first, but he's the most blatant since LBJ's administration cooked up the Gulf of Tonkin incident.
I was foolish enough to think that the U.S. government wouldn't dare pull such a stunt again. That's why I believed the Liar in Chief on WMD and terrorism. Once those rationales were exposed as lies I changed my mind about the war. The wingnuts who still support the war don't want to listen to facts.

Big Bird, have you visited Berlin, Normandy and Iwo Jima? Have you walked through the streets of New York? I've done three of the four and I'm here to tell you that your Liar-in-Chief's escapade in Iraq is a disaster that has made America weaker and more vulnerable. I guess it wasn't just "fraternity hijinks," huh? Is this the "freedom" we've offered to Iraqis? Is this how to win their "hearts and minds?"

Hey anon, the better question is why were those soldiers so interested in them, and who ordered them to be so interested?

Okay Wilson, let's review: These Abu Ghraib prisoners were not caught stealing cookies. They are the SOBs that were planting the IEDs, killing our soldiers, etc. Are you with me so far? Do you think I give a rat's ass if they were forced to wear panties on their heads, or tortured? Do you think it matters to me if Gitmo prisoners had their Korans flushed down the toilet? If you want to know what inhumane torture really is why don't you ask the family of Nick Berg and the others who were behedded and shown on Al-Jazerra for the entertainment of the Arab world. Again, that is okay for you media types. Barely a mention of Nick Berg or the others, while you're screaming hysterically about some panties on the heads of naked prisoners. Did they teach you the meaning of Hypocrite in journalism class?

Tonya, a couple answers:
1. Nothing the enemies in Iraq have done even remotely compares to the severity and extent of the torture committed by Japan in the 1930s and 1940s. Yet, when the U.S. fought Japan, enemy combatants were treated according to the Geneva Conventions. This did not prevent victory. You see, torture is for losers. All it does is signnify the torturer's frustration and depravity.
http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6kt...es/
aamitcsm.pdf
2. It went far beyond panties on prisoners' heads. I didn't come up with the word "torture." The International Committee of the Red Cross and the FBI, among others, came up with the word "torture."
3. If you "don't give a rat's ass" about torture, then you hate America and everything it stands for. If that's the "freedom" we offer to Iraq, can it be any wonder that half of them approve of attacks on U.S. soliders and that 85% of them want us out of there? And if the U.S. military has a policy of torturing enemy combatants and civilians, then can it be any wonder that most Americans think the Iraq War is a waste?
See, until you and your Liar in Chief came along, the most potent advantage this country had in the world was its commitment to human rights. That's gone now, and in the eyes of the world we're nothing more than a modern version of the Roman Empire. Not a good position to be in when the rest of the world is gaining access to nuclear and biological weapons.

Guys-
dont feed the little troll. He hates it when you ignore him.
Ive seen this guy before. He runs around different sights and runs his hole until he gets banned from the sight. He gets off on it. He does this to several sights. Obviously, Capt B is to smart for that and has contained him in this little cage for him. Now Mr Wilson play nice or I will have to tell veryone about your recent loss, your relationship preference and all the other things you have forgot that you blabbed about on other sites, Yip Ive been following you, been to your website, emailed your email. Play nice or else......last chance.

"Play nice," meaning be a rightwingnut like you? Typical of you -- when you can't argue on the facts you engage in blackmail or attempted blackmail. Well let me beat you to the punch, rightwing asshole.
http://willysnout.blogspot.com/
Now why don't you tell me just how relevant all of this is? Yeah, everyone, I had a same-sex partner for 18 years who died a year ago. This fact is what your rightwingnut friend thinks will somehow shut me up.
So, when it comes right down to it that's what you people are all about. "Freedom." You hate freedom.

I preferred to keep my blog separate. The reason is that I know there's a whole category of wingnuts who will fixate on the fact that I had a same-sex partner and use this to avoid discussing anything else. It's what you people do.

All ya'll have lost your fucking minds. This is Capt. B's place. Wilson, free speech is guaranteed by the First Amendment to protect you from the GOVERNMENT and from government infringement. If the Big Guy here decides to ban you, at least don't whine free speech, cuz that is a crock of shit.
Everone else, STOP! Please, just enjoy the Captain's words, his stories, his spirit. If ya'll got political wrangling to do, find a fucking political site to take it to. I hate wading through all this stupid shit to get to the nuggets of REAL comments to the Big Guy!!
And for anyone who has a problem with Wilson's sexuality or his blog, which I have not read, and really don't give a rat's ass about, leave him alone--what he does in his bedroom is his own fucking business.
Sorry, Capt., I just had to go there. I'm getting irate and you know what happens when THAT happens.

As I've written several times, if CaptB wants to take the wingnut coward's way out and ban me, he knows how to do it. I find that wingnuts often do that. Some leftwingers are that way, too. They only want an echo chamber. You know, sort of like Saddam.
I only comment on sites that have comment sections. I find that the far-rightwingnut sites and the far-left sites are alike, although this is the first time someone went to the trouble that "anonymous" did to make an issue of my sexual orientation. It takes a rightwingnut to do that.

I wasn't the one who did that. Your wingnut cohort did that. I guess it's testament to my efficacy as a debater that someone would go to all that trouble. I mean, if I wasn't any good at this, who'd bother? Well, at least now I know why I've been getting all these blank e-mails in the last week or two.

Oh boy. So now we've got a wingnut forging my name. I'm "the real Wilson Kolb" (sheesh!) and the comment immediate preceding this one was not from me. So this is what the rightwingnuts do. The left-wingers at places like Democtratic Underground are ridiculous but they have never stooped that low. Oh well.
