I always prefered Sheep anyway (look up the lyrics)...and I wanna give a BIG FUCK OFF to Swine Flu, you want a real cough? Check out this email that I just got (4:50 pm EST 5/4/09) at work:
"We recently were made aware of a confirmed case of tuberculosis at [My Work Place]. The individual is receiving medical attention and expects a full recovery.
Tuberculosis is a germ that is spread person to person through the air when an infected individual coughs or sneezes. Prolonged exposure to that germ is required for an infection to occur in another individual. Because the building is large and the air is constantly circulating through the ventilation system, the health department believes the risk of infection to our team members is low.
We are working closely with the local Health department on this case. If you are concerned that you have been exposed, please contact your primary care physician or your local health department. Your health and wellness are our primary concern. While we don’t have all the details, we wanted to share what we know with you as quickly as possible. We will provide updates as we receive them from the health department.
It’s important to know that the health department has no immediate concerns about the risk of infection. We encourage you to contact [A schlub in HR who will do nothing] in Corporate Occupational Health at [probably not a real phone number] or [email address] should you have any additional questions or concerns."

Imagine working at a hospital and explaining to every-fucking-body that they are not at risk and will not get it unless they are old/very young/immunosuppressed/ and or mexican. And then, just to entertain them and the media, lets say you get it. BIG DEAL. You aren't going to die. I hate my job sometimes. I guess that is everyone.

I was watching on Google Maps, or somewhere, where you could track the thing (this was during peak madness), and most people infected, I noticed, were in the 8-16 range, or older than 55. And, yes, they were largely from Mexico.
