Definitely fix stupid. Others have felt your pain. Sometimes you need to talk people through basic concepts before they can even grasp anything approaching something like logic. ARRRGH!!

Hey I was in grade school when Canuckia instituted the metric system, and I STILL have to ask what the hell 20 degrees celsius is in "Real" temperature. The Metric System left a whole generation of children behind up here. All I know is, it's freaking cold.

It happens everywhere, and not just with idiots in the drive-thru. My mother was waiting at the butcher counter while the woman in front of her was completing her order. When the butcher asked the woman if there was anything else she needed, she asked him, in complete seriousness,(and I am NOT making this up), "Is your lamb beef or pork?" It's a good thing I wasn't there at the time or I probably would have borrowed one of his cleavers before she reproduced....beef or pork....heaven help us all

Fixing stupid is a full time job...
I have known legendary crusaders of the anti-stupidity movement. And I've noticed that they nod their head in sad disapproval more often than the average Joe.
Tough. People follow norms without ever questioning the basis. I guess that's because of modern culture. We expect everything to be served to us on platters. We can't bother to look beyond the service manuals...

I'm 24, 25 on Thursday. I read books. Well, I used to read books, now I try and occasionally squeeze one in, I work full-time, have a 2 year old, and am taking 16 credits so all that I really get to read are text books.
