Thanks for this post. You articulated what I've been trying to for awhile now.
My candidate didn't win either. But I think the country is better for having gone through the process. I'm excited to see what this guy can do. We're going to see one way or the other.

I found this to be one of the most moving posts that I read today following the election. You grasp the poeticism of this moment even though it's not exactly the outcome you were hoping for.
It's not even my country, but as a Canadian, I was proud to see what happened yesterday. I don't think I've ever been that inspired by American politics before.

your style of writing is super, your ideas too, and your humour is among the best I have ever read (although this post was also moving). I also like the way you leave these sentences alone on the page. This way they hit the reader harder.
