I don't deny that abuse takes place in the frum community but I take articles about it with a grain of salt because usually the ones writing them are therapists or others who a personal benifit in making such claims.

Do you distrust research on heart disease also? More often than not the researcher is a heart specialist. Give me a break. Rabbi Horowitz does great work and has an excellent reputation.

Interesting that the graphic was changed. Anyways, I have become a big admirer of Rabbi Horowitz and let his writings speak for himself, rather than any organization.

I'm reading and rereading this comment and I'm still scratching my head. My point, as I recall, was that R. Horowitz's article is NOT Agudah's response. Period.

Now along comes Anonymous and says (with lots of attitude) "Maybe for reasons you guys don't know about or didn't consider agudah doesn't want to be associated with the article?" OK that's fair. I didn't propose any reason for the change on his website. All I noted was that it did indeed change.

What are you upset about, dear anon?

I'm sorry for blasting the wrong person but I was just getting fed up with all the endless inuendos as well as open accusations in the blogesphere that the reason Agudah doesn't do what the bloggers tell them to in this area is due to ulterior motives.

Kudos to Rabbi Horowitz...
As someone who is a little involved in these issues I can tell you that he 100% correct in his assertion that it is the number one cause of youth going off the derech.
Lakewood is dragging its feet..but there are some well known peopl around that I want to vomit everytime I see them...
