I was wondering what you thought about NICE running the NHS drug approval and advice system - is it the NHS being run by doctors/accountants/scientists or something else entirely? Obviously the minister has ultimate authority, but they are an independent body, are they not?

Sure. I don't know much about NICE but they recommend drugs on the grounds of clinical efficacy? Not quite the same as what's happened here.
