The arithmetic is something like this:
47 + 2 + 16 = SNP government with Smuggy as FM. Actually it equals the magic number of 65 that would mean an overall majority.
However the 16 part of the equation is being - to use a weasel political word - 'unhelpful'.
And so snpy people are now spitting the dummy about the Lib Dems and how awful they are, the same people who vilified them for 'propping up' a Labour government, but who seem to think they ought to be 'propping up' a snpy government on the basis that it has one more seat than Labour.

Some people claim wisdom comes with age. I, on the other hand, refute this from my own experience: the older I get, the less I understand.
Ah Grasshopper - Callow youth knows it understands, because it only sees the superficial the surface.
It is because you have developed wisdom, you now realise you do not necessarily understand.
