Gravatar The only thing that can impact the future is the present.

Why not retake the LSAT?

Gravatar God, I've dealt with that question for the past 5 months and I'd have to expain my decisions in person... I am reg. to take it again but I don't think I will.

Gravatar mary, i don't think you should second guess yourself. my friend keeps taking more years off to study for the LSAT because she only wants to get into a top 10 school. meanwhile, she's 26 already and she won't be done with law school till she's 30. so you're smart to not waste more time. youll be great in whatever law school you go to

Gravatar I remember thinking many of these things when I was waitlisted at Santa Clara University for my undergrad.... and the decision I made to screw it and go to UC Santa Cruz affected my future in quite a few fabulous ways!

Gravatar One of my favorite professors is at Southwestern. If you end up taking Copyright Law or Entertainment Law (notwithstanding the fears expressed a few posts ago), look for Lon Sobel. He's good people.

Gravatar Thank you Matt! I'd love to take those classes.

Gravatar copyright is completely overtaken by the notoriously stupid and bad Lind. though there's rumors he might actually leave us for loyola full time. then again that's only one of the shakedown rumors since we finally got rid of stupid leigh taylor as dean.

getting stuck in what ifs stops all of your life. you took a year off to plan for law school, well it's looking you right in the face.

you have all these expectations and simply, the answer is, life works out the way it should.

Gravatar hey maryboberry. don't worry these type of questions seem to be hitting all of my friends right now. i think it is the age we are at. as you know i personally was having major issues when i first moved back and was hating my job and struggling over what i should do with my life. at a certain point i think you just have to be ok with what you are doing and being uncertain about the future. Gen Yers as a generation are control freaks and want to always know they are going to succeed and know where they are going, yet we are the generation that is faced with the most limitless of opportunities in every area of life. so it might be a consolation that the way you feel is completely normal (and almost mundane ). i think you will do really well at southwestern because you are a smart girl and a great student. after a year you can transfer and get the same degree as people who started out at a larger school, or you might find that you really like the atmosphere at southwestern, make the right connections there, and land the legal job of your dreams. this, is another characteristic of Gen Y, eternal optimism.

ok, i just got back from a market insight briefing as you might have been able to tell, but still, all of this... very true.

the one you should worry about is Beau. those cyncial pessimistic Gen Xers are liable to make edgy comments at any moment jk
