wot can i say abt atif...hes indeed a good singer ..i was shocked when i saw an article written by an english man who don't even understand this language and hes a big fan of him..i can't believe that any1 can write abt him who doesn't even know the meaning of hindi ..hats off to Atif.

I was also quite amazed when I received a message from a blogging buddy (a young lady from Romania), praising Atif's music and his voice, after watching the video that I have posted here, even though she also couldn't understand a single word of the lyrics.

here's another link..there r 2 songs which were sung by both Atif n Jal,i mean Atif n Goher when they were together unfortunately they r not in the first album...i think they must have thought to put them in the second album which couldn't be possible as they broke up...but I personally think that if they would have been together then they could have given a new name of music to pop industry..
One has a gud voice n One is a gud guitarist..n both were gud lyricist..

The first one is excellent! The voice and the guitar riffs are superb...lyrics are ok...

The second one isn't bad either...though Atif is not a part of the performance...it's the regular JAL gang, with Farhan Saeed doing the vocals...I like their music too!

Atif's voice used to sound very diff when he was in the band.

You are right about the credits on the website. However, the voice definitely sounds like Farhan Saeed to me...Can't say for sure though...

yeah ure so much rite ..i got to know that they r releasing their second album ..n this is the first song of their album Payal(teaser)..i thought that the song's name is payal..but i still think that the band was on quite much high when they were with Atif n which u can only see in their 1st song Addat..this is the ORIGINAL (addat) im sending you sung by Atif...n the one sung by Farhan is ok ..but no one can sing this song apart from Atif.

I agree that Sahib-e-dil has beautiful lyrics. However, another artiste might've been able to do more justice to it than Junaid Jamshed has been. I've checked out the other songs as well. He has not been blessed with a voice, it seems, as powerful as some others have been and his style is slightly different from what constitutes my taste in music.

yeah i no , the thing which ure saying , junaid himself said once in an interview that when we started composing songs in a band, i used to say to my band that my voice is not that good but the other band members told him that "for us ure a BEST singer in the world"..n it was the time when there was no band in Pakistan except "Vital signs, with junaid as a vocalist"
n the album itself is quite old n the music as well..n hes a pop singer not a rock singer..rock is (Atif or Jal or some other bands in pakistan)

That was a beautiful song..the video was also not bad either ..and that boy has got looks,hes so simple but yet handsome...and i like his own small and unique dancing steps.Hes looking fabulous here with unique dress sense again..and i have seen most of his pics ..hes never over the top so far as his dress sense is concerned and on top of this(hes a cutuuu)..everything suits that guy.He looks like a proper college boy, im surprized that he has not got any gf which shows that hes quite shareef as well.. and yeah offcourse hes a piecian and i love piecians.Most of my friends are piecians ..i get along with them quite well.

I like Atif. He has an amazing voice. I even play the guitar in an amateur band and we usually do "Woh Lamhe". But Im afraid Id have to say that in this particular video, he looks like he is lipsyncing. There are quite a few places where his lip movements dont sync with the song. It's fairly common in award shows, where they don't have enough time to do 3-4 hour sound checks. Rock concerts do take 3-4 hours of detailed sound checks before any band can play.

Anyway, he won't be first one to do so. Even the famous Def Leppard lip synced when they came to India.

@Shifali: 'Rabba Sacheya' is a Punjabi poem by Faiz Ahmed 'Faiz', who is otherwise more famous as an Urdu poet. Atif's song is based on that poem.
