Ohhh wow -- thanks for sharing wonderful

Zaidi's is really not just a photographer but memories are associated with him -- even my mom had her portraits taken by him, zaidi himself in 60's and my sis specially went for hers with her kid to feel and follow the legacy -- I just loved this post so sooo much

Gravatar That's good to know!

Perhaps, I'll get to see those photos some day.

Increasingly, questions like, "I want to tell my friend let's hop into a car and drive to Lahore for a vacation. Can this ever become a reality?" are being asked to politicians. I hope it will happen very soon!

Gravatar Thanks for sharing this. As a die-hard Lahori, I really loved it. There were two established photographers in Lahore then, 'Zaidis' and 'Rollo'. All the old portraits are taken by either one of the two, while Rollo has sadly gone down since, Zaidis has retained its stature as one of the best places to go to for a portrait.

Gravatar I guess they are right when they say, "Jihne Lahore nahi vekhya, oh jammyaa hi nahi!" (The one who hasn't seen Lahore has not really been born!).

If we'd known about Zaidi's reputation before, my parents, brother and I could've gone in for a family portrait, while we were at Lahore in April 2006.

Gravatar Lovely account by all counts.

Gravatar I agree!

Gravatar Great story .... you don't get many people like that nowadays !

Gravatar What a read.

Gravatar @Cyberkitty: It's true that people are becoming increasingly materialistic.
