Tell me about your mother....

Of course, the NYT is right about this, but they are way too late and they've done everything they could to cause doubt among moderate Muslims that we care about them. Why don't they have huge headlines about the bravery of normal Iraqis? Why not more coverage of the rebuilding work we are trying to do?

I'm just a normal housewife, but I saw immediately after 9/11 that if the US failed against the barbarians, smaller less stable and less educated countries would have a hard time standing. Why didn't the NYT see it back then? Why didn't the MSM do more to build bridges? Why didn't they take a stronger stand against the truly appalling European anti-Americanism?

All one needs to do is look at the cartoon crisis to see how Denmark's Scandinavian neighbors have knuckled under. The great EU is, in fact, the great every man for himself. Tonight, I saw the first Kulturzeit (on a publically funded German-Swiss-Austrian station) report blaming failed American policy for the Iran crisis. They totally ignored all the Europeans and Russians who provided atomic technology to Iran. European "thinkers" have already chosen their scapegoat. Will the NYT do a frontpage article criticising European media for one-sided coverage, which reaches far into the Islamic world?
Maybe in about 4 years.
