With these few words, Kofi Annan has shown why the UN remains an abysmal failure at understanding conflict and preventing the tragic loss of life.

In a way Annan is right: if Muslims didn't act on many of the things they feel the Koran tells them to do, there wouldn't be a problem. But Annan can't bring himself to say that.

Here are a couple of sources of the "rubbish" that a commenter mentioned, one from 1995 and one from 1999. I suppose it's possible that it has been eradicated by now, but I wouldn't bet the kibbutz on that being the case.

Since Muslims realize that they are far too incompetent to win a conventional war against Israel, they're using the Palestinians as suicide bombers etc. and they have the Palesimians believing that strapping bombs to their kids is a good thing too - Morons.
