The older age of men fathering babies is terrible for the psychological health and strength of the offspring. Autism and schizophrenia may be at the far end of results of later fathering of babies, but whimpier children are probably the result of fathers who are over thirty at the conception of their children.
Research on this topic would be very interesting.It seems that the gene in the sperm making cells that control myelin formation and development are very vulnerable to mutation with advancing paternal age. Past the peak at the age of thirty the offspring's non-verbal intelligences decreases with the age of the father.
