Excuse me. Every left/socialist movement in history has been anti-semitic. Left ideology is inherently anti-semitic (and anti-church) because the left demands absolute equality and SAMENESS for/from everyone. A self-identified group is absolute anathema, and the group must be destroyed and its remnants assimulated into the people.

The fact that there has always been a large number of Jews (almost all secular) in left movements does not change the essentially anti-semitic nature of such movements. It does, however, raise interesting psychological and sociology questions.
