Obama didn't get a bump in the polls from picking Biden. Would he have gotten a bump if he had picked Hillary? McCain is now 45/45 with Obama. Will the Hillary ad help McCain? The percentage polls for Democratic women voting for McCain are increasing. Hopefully Hillary can address this and stop this shift in her speech.

I apparently was mistaken in the belief that it was just gay motherlovers who had the irrational attachment to Clinton. Apparently not! Feminists don't like her by and large--she's way too right wing and self centered.
Needless too say McGoo will try anything. I havn't seen the ads so I can only guess at their content. (possibly that hillary an he were closer politically than Obama and she or something like that,(both hawks and ultra capitalist in a lot of things(its odd that Sulivan didn't like here best. Probably trying to be a mysogynist. the "gay right wing" is so entirely fucked up-that is a contradiction in terms!
I would have to see the ads to say more.
The truth is that I don't believe that Clinton was quite so aweful as McCain in her attachment to right wing values.

its too bad all those angry hillary people are failing to realise one thing - they're all the same in the end. hold your nose in vote, like i will. along with the others who want to vomit at the thought of obama's falling in line with FISA, religion, etc.
i voted for hillary in the primaries, but at this stage, i'm sick of this back and fourth, a democrat is a democrat, a mainstream candidate will be mainstream and do what they have to do, etc. they'll all be more or less the same when it comes to actual legislation, which is what actually matters when it comes to our day to day lives, not symbolism and speeches. so lets just try to get someone in there that won't veto every fucking thing and appoint neocon judges.

"...so lets just try to get someone in there that won't...appoint neocon judges."
Yes, because the Democrats have already done enough by helping Leslie Southwick get appointed.
...and we are supposed to elect democrats because we want to save the Supreme Court? There is no reason to believe the Democrats will not sacrifice the courts in order to save their own asses.
Obama is just as capable as Clinton and both are just as culpable as McCain...the only difference is color scheme.

Hi Mike,
Hoping you are well.
I am "Rose From Colorado" a dedicated listener of yours on Sirius OutQ. I am working with my business partner, Barbara Jabaily, a former producer for KBDI, a local Denver PBS TV station, Channel 12.
Tonight and every night during the DNC, at 9:30 p.m. local time, the show: "Snapshots from the DNC," will air. We are allocated six minutes per night to cover protesters and other topics.
We were wondering if you would be available for an interview concerning how the LGBT community is being (or not being), represented at the DNC.
Please let me know if you are interested in meeting with Barbara and me. Send me an email with your available time slots. We have press credentials to video at the Pepsi Center. Please also let us know where you are located.
Thank you and keep up the great work.

well either you might not be totally happy with a democratic president's pick for supreme court judges, or you're totally sickened and (although not suprisingly) angry about a republican president's choice. since everything is bullshit anyway, i'd prefer the lesser of two evils with slight change of progress to taking more steps backwards.
not to mention all of the new powers bush put in place for the next president to abuse. do you want a republican or a democrat abusing them?
it all sucks, i get that, but i don't see a complete purge of our system happening anytime soon. so what should we go for here? backwards, or same with slight chance of improvement? or if you ask a naive optimist, big chance of improvement?
its really not all that encouraging in any case.

I will vote for Obama/Biden. Am I happy about it? Not really. I guess I didn't pay enough attention because Biden seemed to come out of nowhere for me. Am I a Hilary Supporter? Yup. I will not let that get in the way, however, of getting the Republicans out of the White House. It's way to important. I'll just add Hiliary in 2012!!! LOL.

Mr Obama needed Hillary to WIN, Tus the slip in the Polls, they bragged on how this would give him a needed Bounce, the Bouce was more like a sink. Mr Obama will not get my vote or my partner vote who was a tried and true Obama supporter who has been trying to get me on board.
I will write in Hillary. and for those of you who are crying about the supreme court nominees if McCain gets into the office we are NOTgauranteed that Obaam will do any better, He has lied to the country and more specifically the LGBT community that I for one Can not trust or believe him any longer and MANY MANY More believe this also

I think a white man was picked b/c having a woman on the ticket (regardless of who) was seen as a liability. Two "minorities" would make too many people nervous and a dual minority ticket would be easy to for Republicans to demonize with stealthy attacks. Biden is safe. I really don't see much "change" here.
I feel incredibly ambivalent about Obama's candidacy, his electability, his inexperience, his lack of campaign savvy, his vulnerability in office and his lack of coherent forthright policy (that I haven't seen on the website). An example - his healthcare plan is ripped from John Edwards and will, most likely, be implemented by Hilary Clinton.
I feel his candidacy and this campaign is calculated and forced. The addition of Biden to the ticket is just one more calculation. It's as if this ticket is not for them, us or mainstream Democrats but some vague, amorphous mass of people somewhere else.
An article by Dave Sirota from the June 2006 issue of The Nation is what first concerned me. If you're interested read it here:

Nonetheless, the choice is clear. We must vote for Obama to save this country from the Jesus Jihad. I wish we had better choices and better reasons for them. I'm not one of these deluded independents. For me the choice is clear every time: Democrat.

Except for Ted Kennedy and his niece, Caroline Kennedy, the Democratic Convention will be lousy.
I am true leftist, and Barack Obama is no leftist, but a corporatist. The Democrats are too chicken to REALLY STAND UP for the rights of GLBT people.
Yes, there are elements in the fringe right of the ultra-conservative religious groups tied to the Republican party who would stone gays to death, but this does not allow the Democrats off the hook.
I am a true leftist before anything else. I am a registered Democrat, but that can change as well. I would never vote for a Republican, but the Democrats are also a corporatist party.
Barack Obama is a fraud in my opinion. You can visit www.blackagendareport.com or the WSWS website, or listen to the latest Democracy Now! Shows with Amy Goodman or Taking Aim with Mya Shone and Ralph Schoneman to get the real facts on Mr. Obama.
Crusty McCain is insane of course, and yes, very scary. Joe Biden is a war hawk folks just like McCain, but he does his warmongering with a smile and long, drawn answers as any used car salesman would.
So far we have, "Crusty," "Insane John McCain," Barack "Fraud" Obama and "Jumpin' & Slickin" Joe Biden as candidates to lead the corporatist state of the United States.

Dennis Prager is a hate mongering scoundrel who would have these same anti-gay views with or without religion.
People use religion as facade to their already built-in bigotry and hatred. As far as I am concerned people use religion to further their bigotry and then use "God" to tell you "how can say I am wrong for my beliefs?" Well, if you hate and have bigoted views, I can tell you that your beliefs whether rooted in "God" is in fact wrong!
I am not going to concede to the bogus religious rationalizations that is "says so in the Bible," therefore, I can hate gays and lesbians. People who use the Bible and God to justify their hatred can be told how wrong they are, including those dimented beliefs. People who use God as a crutch to hate act like they are free from criticism because of their "religious freedom." Well, my "religious freedom" tells me that I can say to them, how WRONG THEY ARE!
So, Dennis Prager, go get a blowjob or other like things so you do not die of prostate cancer.
Yes, sex is okay. Its part of the biological functioning system no matter what the right wing theocrats claim because of some bullcrap in that King James Bible.
By the way, isn't ironic that King James of "Bible fame" was in fact, a homosexual himself? Just thought I would let that out.
