Gravatar I know this isn't the place for group therapy, but I have to share.

I kinda have diahrrea about this.

So many people are ambivalent about this decision and it drives me crazy. I wish I could be that detached.

Good luck to you and your partner. I am anxious as a California resident, because if ruled in favor of marriage, it could keep me out of prison due to our civil disobedience protest of not filing Federal taxes because of "separation of church and state" and second class citizen status denied of Federal benefits given to other married couples. We are in for a long fight, especially if the God Guns and Guts family values people fight to put it on the ballot.

Gravatar Hey, if you get sent to prison, you still will be able marry - a woman, of course - but you won't be considered ineligible.

It doesn't help that SF is in the midst of a heat wave (it's already nearly 80 degrees at 7am) and I have a final exam tonight at 7pm.

Who needs sleep? If the court does not support marriage, I am preparing to accept that I have been wrong about the whole thing and move on with my life.

As far as I'm concerned, if the CA Supremes say NO, then its over. Seriously. Literally. Completely.

Gravatar The opinion will be posted here:

This is better than the crappy Oscars!

Gravatar Just announced on MSNBC by who else, Pete Williams. Hooray. I am blogging here with tears of joy.

Gravatar patrick: it's a lot more warranting of empathy and concern when the issue has a face than when it is put as a matter of principle-even though that is legitimate.

There are some of us who for whatever prersonal reasons, believe in principle(which can seem to have different forms) but don't feel the urgency of personal need until it's expressed. That gives it all a different dimension.

I wish that I had that much care invested in someone else. Peresonally, it scares me! Best of luck.
