Gravatar Uh-oh, the Obamaniacs aren't going to like this. Great article by progressive Chris Hedges about Obama's corporate ties and alliances: http://www.truthdig.com/report/i...porate_america/

Gravatar I thought that this was about HRC and Jim Neal: you're on the wrong page. Sammy.

On topic, Jim Neal appears to be an impecable example of the only kind of politics that will save democracy in this country, whether he's gay or not. Elizabeth Dole is a right wing shark who would happily sink US., but who will be hard to get rid of .

It might be best to take risks on a person with integrity, than to face certain devastation later. We can at least let the world know (hopefully) that we're not all bloodthirsty imbeciles.

Hagen doesn't seem to represent anything; won't evebn debate Neal

Gravatar BTW Sammy : if this guy just figured out that Obama was not flying on hot air, he's pretty slow.
Obama has the most liberal voting record of anyone in the Senate.
If you want to read about Corporatization and the U.S. There is plenty of well documented current literature out there. Corporations are hardly even a "shadow" government.
History has shown again and again that democracy doesn't function alongside unregulated "free enterprise" That's why we've installed so many fascist regimes since WW2.

No social democrate would support any of the presidential candidates in the U.S. with a free conscience. However, as things are no one can run without money. Most of us believe that Obama is the best bet. If he said straight up that he would disempower the corporations , he wouldn't even start as our pitiful country is.

Gravatar Good job, Michaelangelo! I'm glad you blasted whats-his-name. The HRC needs to be taken down a few (power poles of) notches. He didn't even answer your questions directly. He just kept stating he "agreed to disagree." I admire some of the work they've done over the years, especially the first few years following their founding. but they have lost focus over the last 7 years or so, to the point of 'MacGoo' nearsightedness. I can't believe some of the candidates they endorse, while ignoring others who so much more pro GLBT. They won't get a damn dime of my money or my time until they undergo a drastic retro reformation to the organization they were when first formed (fat chance that will ever happen, but we can dream).

Gravatar Michaelangelo - Great show today, I encourage folks to support a group that's actually doing something for the community where it counts - Lambda Legal (www.lambdalegal.org) My lack of faith in HRC stems from the 2004 election, and in my opinion, their failure to do any substantial work to defeat the Anti-Gay Marriage constitutional amendment (Issue 1) in Ohio. In 2006 they also took a wishy washy stance on the Congressional race between Debra Pryce (R-incumbent) and her Democratic challenger Mary Jo Kilroy, by issuing an unprecedented dual endorsement.

Gravatar why doesn't elizabeth dole act in the proper role of christian woman and supportive wife by retiring from politics and taking care of her home full-time?
she is part of the right-wing crap machine that spews this nonsense. why can't she take her own advice?
