i don't think ellen is at any risk of losing advertising, money is what matters to advertisers, she is the number one show on tv for christ's sake. and everyone already knows she is gay and in a relationship. her audience was screaming with that awful daytime talk show happy scream when she announced this. what are they going to switch to something else after this? oh thats it! i knew she was gay, but this is just too much for me? please. she has been getting more personal/political on her shows these days and i applaud her for it, as someone who was previously critical of her at times.
the fox idiot parade is probably just a little jealous of her sucess and ratings, and shocked that some dyke who wears pants and has short hair is so sucessful, while their bimbo anchorwomen and ex frat boy anchormen continue to make fools out of themselves on a daily basis and are the laughing stock of television.

My mom was enthraled with Ellen, mainly just because she was an "out " dyke. I'm personaly discombobulated tto discover that her show is even on Fox, along with O'Reily,and the endless lineup of deceptive slag residing there. I'm not sure if that says something about her disgression. Given the incredible list of journalists etc who have quit for reasons of personal intgrity, it's safe to guess that she functions as some sort of distraction. In any case, you can't flit through the devils den without getting scorched unless you've got some weird Faustian thing going.
While I don't watch, I'd be suprized, even if she is only a token dyke, that any political fare is anything but right wing digestable (economically) E.g. remember the "Clinton" show was politically hamstrung (altough Rupert was one of Hillary's major backers).
Given her employment, it's doubtful that she would do anything without Dad's approval, or she'd sure be gone by now. Murdoch is a neocon with regards to neo-liberal economics & imperialism. Like a lot of Corporatists he realizes the value of gay $.

I'm hoping Bill O'Reilly gets a stroke or terminal disease where he is bed-ridden and can't talk for the rest of his life. He is the worst tv personality I have even seen.

I just watch DVD's. Can't deal with T.V as a media entity. One setting of O'reilly does me in for a year: too grotesque.
The more scared these people become, the crazier they get ... so, obviously, they're starting to realize they're losing.
Now, venomous serpents never die quietly, so don't expect victory to be simple or painless. But it's coming.
