I don't know enough about Ellen to make suppositions about her politics, although, I imagine that liberal T.V personalities are a ting of the long past.
On appearance alone, McCain would would look like a frumpier old toad than ever if he had Crist next to him. It's not likely that he's after the gay vote although he might have caught wind of the disaffection of Clinton republicans. That seems to be one group he might be after.
This gives me pause to wonder how much Ellen really represents any of the LGBT cause in most people's minds.
